You have already, or are about to launch your brand new website. You have prepared, and are ready to receive all of that internet traffic to your site. You are excitedly anticipating people going on Google, Yahoo, or Bing, typing in their search keywords, and Bam! There you are! They find you, read about you, and order lots of your products and services.
That’s great, except for one thing: Those search engines need to know you exist first. They need to locate, and index your website into their system. They send out web crawlers to do that task, and once they have indexed your site, people using those search engines are able to locate your website address (URL). If you go live with your website, eventually most of the search engines will find it, but why not speed up the process? I actually had a client whose website had been live for years, but had still not been found by Bing (the third largest SE). This is where submitting your information to the search engines comes in. Your submission says, “Hey, I’m here. Come get me!”
So, how does one send in a submission to the Search Engines? Well, if you have a website with Red Dragonfly, we make it pretty easy. You just click on our submission list, fill them out one-by-one, and submit. But for some busy business owners, they prefer someone else do it for them. All of our SEO packages include us filling out and submitting those pesky forms for you. We also include many other things in our packages to help get your site become more visible to your potential customers.
Hope this helps!
